T9 issue

Hi all, just purchased this as the full landscape keyboard is just awesome.

I am, however, having a little issue with the T9 keypad in portrait mode. Whilst this works fine when sending an SMS, when it pops up for the Google search or Market search, the T9 is disabled and trying to enable it doesn't work. Is this by design or is there some problem here?

it's by design, as T9 needs prediction, and prediction is disabled in search fields. Unless you enable the "always suggest" option
